Robert Swinston joined the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in August 1980. In July 1992 he became the assistant of Merce Cunningham. Since 1998, Swinston has instigated various Cunningham archival reconstructions including Suite for Five(1956-1958), Summerspace (1958), Antic Meet (1958), Crises (1960) How to Pass, Kick, Fall and Run (1965), Rain Forest (1968) and CRWDSPCR (1993).

Cheryl Therrien is a member of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company from 1993 and performs with Sarah Michelson, Ton Simons Dance Company and Chen Performance Group. She is a faculty member of the Merce Cunningham Dance Studio gives masterclasses and workshops extensively throughout Europe and the United States.

Performing in Paris at the Théâtre de la Ville for the Festival d’Automne, the Merce Cunningham Dance Company will give an exceptional repertory workshop directed by Robert Swinston and Cheryl Therrien. The company will transmit extracts from CRWDSPCR (1993), Signals (1970), Changing Steps (1973), Fielding Sixes (1980) and Inventions (1989).
